During the Second World War specially trained homing pigeons braved bullets to deliver life-saving messages. Gustav was one of them. Join us for the first public reading of the story, follow our pigeon trail, see Gustav's Dickin Medal and make a pigeon puppet. A BookFest 2020 event.

The event is recommended for families with children aged 7+

The D-Day Story

This museum has as its centrepiece the magnificent Overlord Embroidery commissioned by Lord Dulverton of Batsford (1915-92) as a tribute to the sacrifice and heroism of those men and women who took part in Operation Overlord.
