Holocaust Memorial Event

The Holocaust Memorial Day Service will be held outside the museum from 11.30am-12.30pm. From 2pm to 3pm there will be a talk from renowned playwright Rib Davis, who is using existing Holocaust survivor interviews from the National Life Stories Collection as the staring point for a new play.

Throughout the day there will be a display of artwork inspired by Holocaust writings by students from Portsmouth University and Mayville High School.

Admission to The D-Day Story is free on Holocaust Memorial Day.

The D-Day Story

This museum has as its centrepiece the magnificent Overlord Embroidery commissioned by Lord Dulverton of Batsford (1915-92) as a tribute to the sacrifice and heroism of those men and women who took part in Operation Overlord.
